At Las Vegas, New Mexico
San Miguel County and the City of Las Vegas, New Mexico, are facing a critical situation due to post-fire flash flooding. The recent wildfires have left the area vulnerable to flooding, and now residents are in urgent need of protection. Unfortunately, the state's resources are stretched thin, and there aren't enough pre-filled sandbags to distribute to all affected local residents.
In response to this pressing need, local authorities are calling on community members and volunteers to step up and help with a crucial task: filling sandbags. This effort is vital to protect homes and properties from potential flood damage.
This is an excellent opportunity for New Mexicans to come together and support their neighbors in a time of need. Your efforts can help safeguard homes and potentially save lives in the event of severe flooding.
