Roadless Rule Comment Writing Workshop

15Sep2025

From 5:30 pm

At New Mexico Wild Office - Albuquerque

Monday, September 15, 2025 | 5:30 PM
New Mexico Wild Office
6000 Uptown Blvd. NE Ste. 350. Albuquerque, NM 87110

Join New Mexico Wild for a community comment writing workshop focused on defending 1.6 million acres of New Mexico's roadless forests from the Trump administration's proposed rollback of the Roadless Rule.

We'll provide background on what's at stake for our state's wild places - from the Pecos watershed that provides 40% of Santa Fe's drinking water to the Gila's roadless areas where Aldo Leopold created the world's first wilderness. Learn why these forests matter for wildlife habitat, clean water, and outdoor recreation, then craft and submit your personal comment with support from our team.

What to bring: Your laptop, tablet, or smartphone to write and submit your comment online. We'll provide talking points, technical assistance, and guidance on making your voice heard in the federal comment process.

What we'll provide: Pizza, drinks, and everything you need to submit an effective comment defending New Mexico's roadless areas.

The comment period ends September 19, so this is your chance to add your voice to the fight for our forests while connecting with fellow conservation advocates. Space is limited - please register below.
