From 9:00 am
At Meeting at Upper Santa Fe Ski Basin Parking Lot
Join Garrett Veneklasen, Northern Conservation Director for New Mexico Wild and expert local mushroom forager, for a mushroom foraging hike in the Santa Fe National Forest. We'll explore the forest together, looking for mushrooms while Garrett shares his knowledge of local fungi and foraging practices.
This is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors with an experienced forager and learn more about the mushrooms that grow in our local mountains. Garrett will discuss identification techniques and sustainable harvesting as we hike through prime foraging terrain.
