From 5:30 p.m
At Seismosaurus Trailhead
Join NM Wild and the Dark Sky New Mexico chapter for Part Two of a two-part dark skies series, exploring the importance of Public Lands and Wilderness Areas in preserving dark skies and supporting astronomical observations.
This will be a ~2.2-mile hike through the Ojito Wilderness, followed by astronomical viewing. We’ll compare the two locations and experience the contrast firsthand. The event will be led by Derek Wallentinsen, a retired National Park ranger and dark sky enthusiast. RSVP is required.
