Coalition
The Coalition for New Mexico Wilderness is a forum for organizations and businesses to join in the effort to protect New Mexico's wild places as Wilderness.
The Coalition for New Mexico Wilderness is an organization of member organizations and businesses representing the diversity of wilderness values within the state of New Mexico. Wilderness speaks differently to each individual. For some it is sacred or spiritual. Some value it for watershed protection, protection of archaeological resources or for scenic landscapes. Others value it for hunting, skiing, hiking and fishing opportunities. Teachers use wildlands to educate our children about the natural world. Some wish simply to preserve wilderness for its own sake.

Conservationists of all interests - hunters, fishermen, farmers, educators, hikers, boaters, scientists, business owners, watershed protection organizations and more - are bound by a drive to protect this valuable, finite resource for future generations. These groups are coming together to protect wilderness for their own individual reasons - but they unite to protect wilderness.
