A Message from Stephen Capra, Executive Director
Dear Friends of Wilderness,
Today we kick off our New Mexico Wilderness Alliance Spring Online Fundraiser. There may still be icicles outside your window, but I promise you— a new season has come for Wilderness, all across New Mexico. We are moving forward with an aggressive and seasoned approach to Wilderness Protection in 2011 and we need your support.
Help us reach our Spring Fundraiser goal of $10,000 for our 2011 campaigns and give online today.
I’ve just returned from our nation’s capitol, where I met with Congress to promote NM Wild’s Land of Enchantment Wilderness Proposal. Our proposal calls for a statewide bill to protect more than a million acres in New Mexico as Wilderness and National Conservation Areas. We are also working for the protection of Mexican wolves and the wolf recovery effort.
Please check out our new website at nmwild.org to learn more. Launched just this morning, our redesigned website will be a more effective tool for you to get involved and stay up-to-date on our work. Sign up online and get an early start on our field season, packed with hikes, volunteer service projects, and wilderness inventory trips.
This year, we are proving that when the going gets tough, the tough get growing! Support our wilderness campaigns and show our elected officials that demand for Wilderness is stronger than ever. Sponsor a proposed Wilderness, or just a square mile of our Wilderness proposal.
Thank you for your continued support of our mission to keep New Mexico Wild!
