Meet Alex Wheeler, a young wilderness advocate who enjoys hiking in the Sandias and camping in the Pecos wilderness. Alex is worried about politicians like Congressman Steve Pearce  who keep introducing anti-wilderness and anti-wildlife proposals that would destroy Alex’s wild future.

Recently, Congressman Pearce became a co-sponsor of a radical proposal by Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) that would release all Bureau of Land Management and National Forest Roadless Areas that the agencies have not recommended for protection. The effect of such legislation would eliminate millions of acres of potential wilderness forever.
