On February 16, President Obama released the Report on public outreach conducted last summer for the America’s Great Outdoors Initiative. The President’s AGO Initiative is an undertaking to increase local public participation in federal land management decisions, facilitate cooperation between state and federal agencies, and foster connections to the outdoors in our nation’s youth. From public comments collected during last year’s public hearings — “Listening Sessions”– across the country, the administration and land management officials have assembled the America’s Great Outdoors Report, which will shape federal land management decisions going forward.
