Join Hands Across the Sand
Say NO to Offshore Drilling and YES to Clean Energy

Concerned citizens everywhere want to do something about the disaster still unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico. Join hands with us June 26, at 11 AM at the Alameda Walking Bridge in Albuquerque and together we will say no to offshore drilling and yes to a clean energy future.
President Obama recently announced that Shell Oil’s plans for exploratory drilling in the Arctic will be postponed until at least 2011, preventing the next oil spill disaster. This victory was won thanks to the amazing outpouring of support by activists like you – and we thank you for all your hard work. But as the current disaster in the Gulf continues unabated, we must keep the pressure on to limit offshore drilling and move our country toward a better, cleaner, safer energy future.
Join this growing movement as we partner with other individuals and organizations who want to stand up and say “No” to offshore drilling.
Where: The ”Old” Alameda Walking Bridge, Albuquerque – We will join hands on the walking bridge over the Rio Grande that is parallel to Alameda Blvd. UPDATE: Please park on the west side of the river– there is a parking lot just north of Alameda Boulevard, adjacent to the walking bridge.
