Your Comment Needed on America’s Great Outdoors
In April, President Obama instuted the America’s Great Outdoors Initiative, a program designed to transform conservation and land management for the 21st century and leave a public lands legacy for future generations to enjoy. Top federal officials from the DOI, USDA, EPA and more toured the country holding Listening Sessions to gather feedback from local communities on solutions that work for conservation and public lands.
We thank all of our wilderness supporters for the great turnout we had at Albuquerque’s Listening Session in July! Were you inspired by the event? Perhaps you didn’t get a chance to comment? Maybe you just want the last word! Well, here is another new opportunity to take that momentum and speak up on behalf of wilderness and public lands protection.
Please take a moment to e-mail your comments on public lands protection and management to the America’s Great Outdoors Initiative.
Comments received before November will be incorporated the final report for the Initiative. This document will be important in setting the conservation agenda for the next century, so your comments are vital!
