“Healthy Lands Project” training with Great Old Broads:POSTPONED

WHAT: Training on Healthy Lands Project (HLP) for Great Old Broads for Wilderness, based in Durango, CO.    HLP has developed standardized methodology to monitor motorized routes on public lands and is working with the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance and the Upper Gila Watershed Alliance to train volunteer monitors in the use of those methods.

WHEN: Saturday, September 11 from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

WHERE: Meet at 9:30 at the junction of Highway 90 and the Mill Canyon Road, about 29 miles south of Silver City.
 
The training will take about 4 hours and will consist of about 1 hour of “classroom” discussion of the methods used, followed by in the field data collection by small groups. We will gather back together to discuss problems or questions, and then end for the day.
