Join us as we climb one of the most popular trails in the Sandia Wilderness! The
trail ascends gradually via broad switchbacks, the scenery and commanding
views of the city of Albuquerque becoming more impressive as we gain elevation.
With Nathan Small, our Southern NM organizer, we will discuss the importance
of the Sandia Wilderness to the city. He will join us on our hike to talk about
NMWA efforts in Doña Ana County to protect the Organ Mountains and how
their protection will contribute to the quality of life in Las Cruces. We’ll end our
hike at Sandia Crest, eat lunch at the restaurant, and ride the tram back down.
